NADY WIRELESS OPTION:

Nady HISSMUTE softens potentially harsh transients in the audio caused by dropouts or "hits" by momentarily selectively engaging a low pass audio filter when the received signal drops below an acceptable threshold. This rolls off offensive "highs" in the squelch noise thus muting its harshness. This can increase range effectively in critical applications where necessary by allowing useable audio in fringe areas. Standard in the Nady VHF 2000 and the Nady 950 GS UHF receivers. Internally defeatable.

NADY TONE SQUELCHEliminates outside interference causing unwanted unmuting of open on-line receivers when associated transmitters are turned off, or out of range. A coded tone is broadcast by the transmitter along with the audio and decoded by the receiverwhich will unmute only with the presence of this tone. Most useful application is when users wish to shut down transmitters while receivers are still "live" on the P.A. or amplifierotherwise will not eliminate interference.
