Emeryville, CA-The Nady Audio line now includes three new pieces of rack gear: the FS-4N Feedback Suppressor, the PEQ-5B Parametric Equalizer, and the PCL Series of Power Line Conditioners. All of these units offer advanced professional features and precision control at extremely competitive pricing. The FS-4N Feedback Suppressor provides a straightforward solution to feedback and hum problems that arise in live sound applications. Four extremely narrow (1/60 octave) notch filters, each independently adjustable from 60 to 6,000 Hz, allow quick elimination of unwanted problem frequencies without affecting the integrity of the overall sound. A control for adjusting the notch depth on each filter enables precise attenuation (up to -20 dB) at each selected frequency. A push button bypass switches all 4 notches in and out simultaneously for fast monitoring of results during use. An in-line 8-band audio spectrum analyzer LED display enables quick identification of the frequency range of any problem frequency, facilitating immediate reaction and suppression by the operator. Rear panel features include signal input and output via 1/4" TRS balanced connectors; internal power supply with a voltage select switch (115/230 VAC) and IEC power cord jack for AC operation and screw terminal for optional +24 VDC input powering; and both AC and DC external fusing. Nady's new PEQ-5B five-band Parametric Equalizer is a versatile tool that is ideal for many recording and live sound re-enforcement applications such as creative sound contouring in post-production and recording, sample sound shaping, notching out unwanted frequencies, room EQ, and audio "sweetening". The PEQ-5B's 15 dB boost/cut per band, constant-Q, state-variable filter circuitry for precision control of tone coloration, parallel phase filters for minimal phase shifting, and tunable high and low cut filters for eliminating undesired frequencies provide superior performance even in the most critical of applications. Each of the unit's 5 bands is independently selectable and adjustable in bandwidth (.03 to 2 octaves wide), allowing a range of adjustment from tight notching to extreme boost/attenuation by band overlapping. Operating features include servo-balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs and outputs, bypass switches on each channel, and a 12-segment LED switchable Input/Output meter. The unit is housed in a single rackmount rugged metal housing. The new Nady PCL Series Power Line Conditioners all feature advanced RF/EMI noise filtering for the quietest operation of equipment, triple mode varistor surge and spike protection, 8 rear outlets (with room for 4 "wall warts") controlled by a front panel switch, and 15 amp rating (1800W) with rear panel circuit breaker (UL). The PCL-800 is a power conditioner only; the PCL-810 and PCL-815 each feature 2 added front panel slide-out, swiveling lights for rack illumination with convenient dimmer controls for adjusting the lamp brightness. The PCL-815 also has a large LED numeric meter that displays the incoming AC line voltage and 2 voltage condition indicators: a green "Standard Voltage' LED and a red "Over Voltage" warning LED. All three units are housed in a rugged single rack space metal housing. "Our new rack gear has all the latest state-of-the-art bells and whistles, but all of the units are also rugged workhorses, designed for long haul reliability," commented John Nady, President and founder of Nady Systems. "Given their professional features and basic indispensable versatile utility, these units are some of the best values available in rack gear today." |
